Howdy!

At last, the times we have been prophesying for the last several newsletters are upon us. Hooray! We get the thrill of a little chill when we step out to tend to our animals in the morning. We are saving seed for the next season! We are harvesting and planting some of our cooler weather crops, like this weeks carrots. Soon, we will bring you some exciting fall crops like beets and winter squash. With 5 weeks left in our CSA, we can smile at our successes in this first years CSA. Amid a cooky, but still abundant season. We hope you have been enjoying your summers, and your CSA. Can’t wait to bring you even juicier and more varied veggies in the years to come!

Featured Recipe

Much like our tomatoes, the eggplants were off to a slow start this due to a cooler early season. Now, they are really popping off! So many fun ways to get creative with eggplants. One of our favorite is these Nasu Dengaku – Miso Glazed Eggplant from Caroline Phelps. They are even tastier with some blistered shishitos or some roasted carrots. As always we’d love for you to share what you are cooking up with us on Instagram!

Looking forward to another CSA this Friday, September 8th. It is lovely to hold and be held by the land, as we work to bring you nourishment. Thank you, and see y’all soon!
